My finger hurts

The tip of my index finger on my left hand hurts when i press on it! have you guys ever experienced this or know what it might be? it was worse last night but its still there now :(

Greenday, apart from that what other changes have you observed? sweating? thirst? Have you got a history of diabetics in your family?

Diabetics is what comes to mind but it could be signs of neuromuscular disease i.e immunological and autoimmune disorders including the failure of the electrical insulation surrounding the finger nerves myelin.
Visit your doctor.

P.s I am assuming that it is serious and not the usual "xanuun" which comes and goes.
