I don't know after a certain age.. But I'm pretty sure its permissible for divorced and widowed women to remarry any man of their choice without permission/approval from a wali..

Yes.What I know is that the Wali can only refuse proposals based on religiosity, not race social status, wealth etc.If he keeps rejecting proposals then authority goes to his closest male relative.

Somalis discriminate against one another, and it is not unique to a certain group of people so I don't get why you are pointing fingers. As someone else mentioned, if your sister or other members of your family were to marry someone from these minority groups who are discriminated against, i bet you would have been singing a different tune. I think in the Hanafi school of thought a divorced women does not need a wali. The other school of thoughts still say that a wali is needed if I remember correctly.

It's not something to cheer about, this is why you find Xalimos getting married to convict ajnabis. The father should be reasonable but It's pretty damn sick for the girl to choose a guy over her parents. How is that video in any way form or shape related to the subject at hand?
