I thought that too. I guess it was just a neat way to packup a problem. Damn I really did get duped.
so here's a little something, war in Somalia started in 1991, Al Shabaab came into existence 2007. That's 16 years where we managed to kill ourselves, starve ourselves, and deny ourselves of basic human rights before Al Shabaab came into existence. And unless we get our act together, we'll go back to that once Al Shabaab leaves. They're a nice scapegoat but Al Shabaab are just one small part of the problem, they don't come close to being the problem.

That is true at the same time Al Shabab has held us hostage for the past 5 years. I can't say I am sad to see them leave.

The problem with Somalia is that everyone wants the whole pie. And it's a tiny pie. One thing that keeps me hopeful though is that nothing lasts forever lol and I used to think that saying was a depressing.

Lets say a lone man rushed into a NATO military base and attempts to kill as many soldiers as possible, with the eventuality of him being shot and killed. Of course this is all hypothetical but would 'said' person be a martyr?
