I'M ANNOYED AT A THIRTEEN YEAR OLD.

anyway, I was at the birthday party of a family friend yesterday, she just turned thirteen.

Her friends were sitting in a room talking when I sat down beside one of the guys there.

"Don't sit beside him, he's gay!" she says.

Me and the boy looked at each other and rolled our eyes.

I thought the way she meant it was the way kids go "that's so gay!!!" y'know, it's one of those stupid things people grow out of, so I was mildly annoyed but didn't take it too badly at first.

After she said it a few times I questioned her as to what she thought it meant and she said "a guy marrying another guy"

this is the point where i'm speechless and annoyed.

i need help here? honestly, what should I have said? what could I have said? I've known this kid since she was born and this is sort've an isolated incident so...I dunno.
