The Sad truth is that every1 is goin places but Puntland. From time when you need a SL land militia to take Turak on your behalf, frankly it will be fun to watch the Khatumo militia run circles around you guys.

No i think they are Equal important see independence was gained in 1960 free of colonialism and British Imperialism for the first time people were free to do what ever they liked no more brits the land was eventually free the only sad thing was they united with the walanweyns. But in 1991 18 may nationhood was established the statehood that was lost was reinstated . So they actually fill each other up gained independence and 18 may nationhood was established.

IF they are both as equally important as you suggest then why is 18 may celebrated by your peole as if were a religious holiday. Why are committees set out to organise and coodernate parties. Why is an obligation for men, woman and child to wail about independence and recognition that date. Whereas 26 of june barely ever mentioned as a footnote.

You have a point people party more on 18 may and i can understand why because thats when they really made Somaliland what it is , but i don't agree with that mentality 26 june is a very important day more than 73 years of Colonialism ended and our land was free of the white man. We just sacrificed our country and statehood and joined with the walanweyns, Thus the new generation believes that's their day the 18 may. But they should not forget that before Somaliland statehood was reinstated in 1991 inetween 1884 till 1960 we were still under colonialism.
