Abdulle Elmi, 25, Toronto's latest Homicide Victim Info +Pic

Toronto police have identified a Toronto man who was shot to death in Etobicoke on Thursday morning.

Abdulle Elmi, 25, died of multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, police said in a release.

He's the city’s 26th murder victim of the year.

The shooting took place on Meadowbank Road near Highway 427 and Burnhamthorpe Road at around 4 a.m. Elmi was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say a dark−coloured vehicle was seen fleeing southbound on Meadowbank Road after the shooting.

No arrests have been made.

Police believe Elmi was in the Yonge and College area about an hour before the shooting and they are appealing to the public for information.
