Who takes the cake for being the best east african artist? Obviously their styles are different, but their talent and skill have transcended the pain and struggle typically associated with the region.

Tyga is lyrical garbage but I could see his appeal. J. Cole is the best rapper in the game right now but he hasn't made anything good in a while. Drake for some reason kills any track he gets on so he's really good.

K'naan has some killer lyrics and his style and flow is kinda similar to eminem.

The Weeknd is the shit and is going to blow up very soon. He is kinda ushering in a new brand of R&B all together with Frank Ocean. that trippy shit that sounds nice
