A bunch of bollocks is what I say, when these students graduate from their various low-tier universities, will there be any jobs available in Somalia? Somalis need to understand that Somalia is not at the service level/tertiary stage in their economy and that engineers, doctors etc can only take so much people. We need to start with primary skills such as fishing, farming, construction building, skilled trades etc, etc. Otherwise its just wasted effort.

Until they do this they won't get a dime of my money or a second of my time.

Granpa yarisow. The economy will change Insha'Allah, if they have education they can work anywhere. Besides Somalia won't be doomed forever the sun is only down for a little while they will see brighter days soon Insha'Allah and then what education will that generation of change have? That is our generation we are talking about they are the future if they are not educated how will they make their surroundings a better place? What knowledge would they have to change the countries economy?

I'm offended you didn't add Seattle in the title, and that the video doesn't have Seattle in it.

So you want to increase the brain drain already occuring in Somalia, most of these graduates will probably leave their nation and contribute to other nation's economies like Pakistan and Malaysia.

If that is the case then Insha'Allah they will come back and benefit their country once the economy starts to grow and once there is peace. Most of the students that got the scholarship were doing subjects such as medicine, agriculture, some were doing Sharia law, etc so they will benefit their surrounding by becoming, doctors, farmers, scholars etc You got to understand those back home mostly study subjects that will benefit them and their country in the future which is why this campaign wants to support them to do that.

Hahaha okay no worries. Is the Teach Somalia campaign part of WSSP's Operation Restore Home, or is it separate?

They are working on things such as farming.

But jobs such as construction and other skilled labors cannot exist without the engineers and other highly skilled professionals to lay the foundation and ground work.
