what an awful practice, truly reprehensible. basically it's an islamic loophole for men indulge in their sexual desires without any burden of responsibility for the women or her wellbeing. it is obviously the same as a girlfriend-boyfriend relationship only with an expiration date and sanctioned as "halal".
