Agriculture: Southern Somalia experts come in

Post by Siciid85 »

I need to acquire some info about what types of crops can grow in the south especially the Shabeelada Hoose region, Afgooye & Janaale to be precise.

1. Other than banana, papaya, mango and cocoa what else grows in those two particular areas mentioned above? do limes grow there?

2.What is the market worth of those named crops inside Somalia in $? i already know the export market worth of it.

rice
maize
popcorn
many kinds of beans
garlic
onions
cotton
tobacco
sweet potatoes
custard apple
citrus of all kinds, including liin.
many more annual plants and vegetables

Just about anything you can water that will grow in a sub-tropical climate.

You can't get high off hemp. It's entirely industrial and a perfect staple for Somalia.

Grant,

I hope Clinton gets Somalia listed on the AGOA act so that we can export goods to the USA duty free.
