Mohammed Yusef of Somaliland, Founder of Invicta Capital
Invicta Capital Ltd was established in 2001 and has since raised over £1.4 billion of investment capital. The company has built a strong reputation for structuring investment opportunities for both private and institutional investors. Invicta’s expertise in funding and managing complex commercial transactions that invariably require an understanding of cross-border legal, tax and accounting issues, provides the company with the knowledge and experience to deliver superior asset based investment opportunities to its clients
BBC has a great article on this trail-blazer. A dignified man who was not afraid to start a business, and did not let the negative input of people discourage him. He is truly inspirational
Amina Hersi Moghe, Cali Siciid, Habar Yoonis.Amina Hersi Moghe is an award-winning Somali entrepreneur the richest woman in Uganda. She has launched several multi-million dollar projects in
Kampala, Uganda, such as the luxury mall the Oasis Centre and the Laburnam Courts. She also runs Kingstone Enterprises Limited, one of the largest distributors of
cement and other hardware materials in Kampala
Mohammed Yassin Olad, Cabdalle Ismaaciil, Habar Yoonis. When the Somali government collapsed, the country also lost its airline and all air links for people and goods to move in and out of Somalia. As thousands fled, Mohammed Yassin Olad, a Somali businessman, saw opportunity and started Daallo Airlines. As he notes, Daallo Airlines is a business, but also a humanitarian endeavor as for many years Daallo maintained the only outside link for this isolated, troubled nation. Daallo’s hurdles are unimaginable. There are no banks, so all transactions must be in cash. Without a government, they have to maintain the airports. Despite the problems, the market is profitable enough that five other carriers sprung up. Without a government there are no safety regulations, particularly for the other airlines that fly only within Somalia, but despite war and lack of government, in the 14 years they have been flying Daallo has never had any safety problems. The carrier now has offices in London and Paris and offers long-haul flights from Europe to Somalia. As Olad notes, sometimes it is difficult not having a government, but sometimes it is a plus. Corruption is not a problem because there is no government, he says smiling broadly.
The company's chairman is Col. (Rtd) H. A. Farah. Who is a 25 years veteran of The Kenyan Air force.

If there was but one noble man in Eyduur
Allah would have risen a leader from Eyduur!
Well at least God did not rear us from the Isaaq; the most laangaab clan in the Somali nation!
