Amiir Muawiya radiyallah anhu was a great sahabi but unfortunately his rebellion is something which we must not support. Allah and his Messenger pbuh loved amir al mumineen Ali r.a and Ali r.a loved them.

So we should not be like the rafidha and neither the nawasib.
We say Muawiya r.a was a muslim sahabi, may Allah forgive his rebellion and may Allah swt forgive Zubayr and Talhah. Allah swt did indeed forgive those who participated in Badr( Zubayr and Talhah radiyallah anhum).

I'm not talking about informants. The state department is a leading funder and promoter of sufism across the world. Just do a little bit of research and read whats written by american & western think tanks. The US ambassador in Ethiopia even has a budget allocated to rebuilding shrines.

I suggest you do more research into how foreign policy is formed before you buy into the notion a random thinktank's policy recommendation is akin to the State Department being a "leading funder and promoter" around the world. No my nigger, I am not speaking of Rand. I am speaking of the American Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation being used to protect abandoned sufi shrines. As well as regional and western donors funding sufi militias in Somalia among other places. They are framing sufism as "traditional Islam" in opposition to "wahabism". They frame it in this way because they have no authentic Islamic source for their practices. Not that it matters, but the fact is none of my forefathers were paying tribute to sufi masters, dancing in circles and asking a dead sheikh for intercession. I dunno about you. Sufis believe that prior to Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahab's students galloping through the deserts of Arabia, that the whole Muslim world were head banging mystics. False. For the most part the mystics being paraded as traditional muslims in ethiopia and somalia are ignorant people who cannot read. They call themselves shafi'i, but Imam Shafi'i was explicitly in support of leveling structures built over the graves.

The issue of demolishing would only come about in an Islamic country. If the authorities feel the need to demolish, they have every right to.

The matter would be brought to a Qadi, who HAS to pass judgement according to the relied upon position in the school, as clearly mentioned by Allamah ibn Abidin.
If he passed judement on any other position, be it within his madhab or out of the madhab, his judgement would not be valid.

If the Qadi follows another madhab, he has to pass judgement accordingly.

Imam Shafi'i clearly mentions in Kitab al-Umm:

"I indeed saw the Rulers in Makkah demolishing structures on the graves and and didn't find the Fuqaha criticising this."

Why make an issue of something that isn't one.
Building on the graves is not permissible, is contrary to Sahih Ahadith and the consensus of all 4 madhahib.
The authorities have the right to demolish such buildings if they see fit.
