People miss things here and there, I've seen it happen about two years back when a friend of mine shocked me with his understanding of the earth. We were driving and started a conversation about the clouds that led to him basically telling me how he thought we lived inside the earth. He thought that we actually lived inside the globe. This conversation obviously didn't go well cause I couldn't hide the shock on my face when I realized that he was serious.

Do we live on the Earth, or inside it? I think that's a pretty interesting question. Most would say "yeah, on, crust and all". But thinking carefully, why would anyone disregard the many layers of the atmosphere? Without it, the Earth wouldn't be as it is. We live on the crust, and within the atmosphere.

I'd say we live inside the Earth. Not sure what you're friend was talking about though lol.

Science is based on assumptions, we assume things and make it work, the question is not whether we visited the moon or not but can we? also i do believe because our biased against things we dont know makes it hard for us to accept new things.

i would like to travell to the SUN. actually the Sun is not that hot.. we can land the Sun.. ancient people they use to believe the Sun setts on muddy spring and there are people who live the place which suns setts down every day...

Yeah. But, if we're to consider the atmosphere as a product of the Earth's formation, something secondary, then I'd say it's on the Earth. Just as we are.

@Alpha, is this a case of the wax and the gi tract?. . Most people take earth to mean the immediate soil/crust, but what if we're a part of space since our atmosphere has holes in it?
