I don't really know why we want to argue for the obvious...Somali women are obsessed with whitening creams...We see everyday and everyone can tell who did and who didn't...No one can mistake natural color with fake color...These whitening creams contain agents that cause cancer and mercury which we all know damages nervous system...The effect doesn't show immediately but in the long run kidney failure and the like are imminent..

We know there are naturally light skins Somalis out there..Like Barwaanis, Reer Xamars etc etc..and that we have some Somalis who have lighter skin than the others..But what we can't deny the fact that our women are taking a great risk!
