The first one is correct. Lower Jubba doesnt have a border with Gedo

Transformer, there are three maps of Gedo and Middle Jubba going around:

Number 1



Number 2



Number 3




However the one most used by international agencies, governments, and the Somali government is Number 2 while Number 3 is that one that most accurately depicts the actual administrative zone of the Gedo regional administrations.

I have not seen Number 1 used by any organization that has ever dealt with Somalia even though I have seen the actual map. That removes places like Baardheere, Faafaxdhuun, Gerileey, etc from Gedo when they are strictly under Baardheere district. Lol @ Somali Fanatic, if only wishful thinking conquered the world!

I cant see the links but the map that paints Gedo the biggest and brightest is the correct one.

If you go into Google maps and zoom into Somalia, their most current administrative map of Somalia is the same as number one.

The basis for the "noise" coming from Mogadishu is that Hawiye are being sidelined in the Jubbaland initiative.
Clearly the HAG is behind a lot of this false propaganda, although its disappointing to see the "president" parroting such bellicose statements.

The premise that the Jubbaland rejectionists are operating under, is that Hawiye are present in large numbers and have a veto.
Now I don`t claim to know the demographic of the region, beyond a very simple understanding.
However, I have been told by people familiar with the region, that Hawiye (Geeljecal, Sheikhaal, Hawadle), are present in only 3 districts with a majority in maybe 2.
I have heard nobody claiming they want to displace or dispossess Hawiye, on the contary, Jubbaland initiative is based on the guaranteed rights and representation of all the people.

Google maps shows the correct state borders

Google Maps also says Caabudwaaq, a town never contested, is in "Ethiopia". There are a lot of issues with Google Maps and they are constantly sending news out about updates.



Like I said, and Original posted, the official map is Number 2 used by the Somali authorities, UN agencies, and international organizations.

If you guys knew anything about Somali geography, you would know Number 1 removes many "Gedo" towns like Faafaxdhuun, Gerileey, etc from Gedo so just by that you know it is erroneous.



Can you please put Gerileey and Faafaxdhuun in search which the first map cut off and tell us what region every single news article says they are under especially southernmost Garileey?

There is Faafaxdhuun and Gerileey is slightly to the southwest and Baardheere is actually shows to be in Gedo. The border between Gedo and Middle Juba should be a bit lower in the map but thats about it. Middle Jubba has an opening corridor into Kenya and its common knowledge so you stop sounding desperate. Waa yaab, first time I saw somebody trying to extend the borders of their gobol online.

the most accurate maps are those used by the UN etc
google..... when it comes to badiye villages they`re a bit iffy.
