watch out for senseless fear mongering

if you follow Somali news sites like I do from time to time, I suggest you critically analyse what the Puntland propaganda machine is cooking up, sites like Garoweonline etc are turning HUTUS and the Somali government into this dangerous entity that must be feared by all daroods, this is a classic case of fear mongering, and I do not fall for it for one second.

1. Hutus as much as I do not like these creatures are fellow Muslim Somalis and we shouldn't expect the worse from them
2. how dangerous is this government ?? it is guarded by AMISOM for God's sake and the state of the Hawiyo clan militias is laughable
3. during the civil war we stood our ground against all odds, what makes you think today we will somehow bend over for them ?? the thought is again laughable.

one thing I suggest people get into their heads, is Puntland is not our ally, and I speak to both Marehans and Ogadens, Puntland do not care about Darood, we should not be fooled by them, Jubaland will NOT be another Darood state, it will be a multi-tribe state, with majority Darood.

we also need to remember that Jubaland is a southern state and that means our future is interlink with other southerners, Reer Baardheere know how important Mogadishu is to their business etc.

Puntland propaganda consist of pumping up the old Darood falacy by saying Jubaland will be yet another Darood state similar to Puntland, they dont want this, they don't care about this, they will stab you in the back, they constantly sabotage Khaatumo and you think you are closer to them when they are Harti cousins ?? this Darood state nonsense is just to turn non-Darood southerns against Darood southerns like Marehan and OGaden.
another thing is, fear mongering, this is to turn Marehan and OGaden against Hawiyo.

don't fall for this BS, just critically analyse the situation and see what is in the best interest of your tol, I hope it all turns out well for Ogaden and Marehan and Jubaland will be up on its feet in the following years, I plan to relocate when I finish university inshallah.

last thing I want to remind you is, whiles we have no reason to accept meddling from Puntland in Jubaland affairs, the Mogadishu government has some rights, we just have to be vigilant when dealing with the Hutus in the government including the President.

What a horrible way to begin a welcoming thread. While I agree with you about the recent propaganda spike, I disagree about blaming puntland media outlet. Anyways ultimately the people of the region who matter agree and those wishing for fitna will remain online.

Advo, notice how Puntland media completely ignores the Gaalkacyo issue, I am referring to the reoccurring clashes that lead to significant destruction and death at least a couple of times every year, they do not want to add fuel to the fire because they know it could easily escalate and spill in over to Puntland, this is very cowardice, and it is the very reason why Laascanood is a big no no for Puntland, again a neighboring town which they fear to talk about because of SL.

it is very odd that they talk about Kismaayo more than a thousand KM south of Puntland, whiles completely ignoring Gaalkacyo and Laascanood, these people are meddling in southern affairs like there is no tomorow and turning Hawiyo against Darood vice versa, because they know in the south they wont be affected by the conflict, in fact they will profit from IDPs, their profit also come from Food aid coming through their ports which ends up in the south, very stupid since we have Kismaayo and Mogadishu in the south more than capable of facilitating the importation of large quantities of Food Aid.

I am just reminding OGs, that remember you are Southern Darood in Somalia, and unfortunately you are not a powerful clan that can stand alone, although Laandheer in the Horn of africa, you are a minority in Somalia, like Warsangilis lol, so think who your interest collides with and who it aligns with, don't conflate issues of the past with the present.

my two cents, inshallah Kismaayo once it gets peace it will be one of the best places in the entire world for a Somali to live, work and go for holidays.
