The Shafi’i, Maliki and Hanbali schools say that nikah entered into by a woman herself, without the permission of her wali, is invalid and void.

how can the imam be a wali? when the iman is not even her mehrem. if the imam wants he himself could marry her, so what kind of wali is that.

The imaam cannot be wali. Miyaad waalantey?

if the parental concern are valid one then the marriage is not valid and also has no happy ending.

only the male relatives can be wali,

father/ brother, uncle and so forth can be wali.

if anyone random person who says he is an imam can be a wali then whats the point of having a wali.
