I would like to visit Somalia,I know Somalia is a dangerous place but I want to talk to several somalis who fought in Ogaden War,everybody knows the ethiopian and western opinions about Ogaden War but few people know the somali opinion about this conflict,perhaps there are somali generals alive and they can tell us their standpoint on the war.

I have read several somali books:

Mohamed Farah Aidid
Abdullahi Ahmed Yusuf(former warlord and chairman of SSDF,wrote his memories in 2012)
Jama Mohamed Ghalib

Perhaps someone has read the book of Abdullahi Yusuf,this book is written in somali.

I do not know any somali.

But I am interested in somali history,I would like to write a book about Ogaden War.

If someone wants to write a book about a war,this person must talk to both the sides from a conflict.

The war was a mistake but Somali generals would never tell you anything bad Somalis have too much pride to admit to anything bad.

It was not a mistake, can you live happily knowing your brothers and sisters are in chains of colonial? WSLF would handle the whole thing but there was power struggle in Somali army during the war and after war pave the way for civil war.
