Why shouldn`t your partner work?.....as they say, two pair of hands are better than one.

Yeah, its not my opinion, its about the problems and factors... My opinion in these relationships not in me is: its not about what is right and what is wrong its about the well-being of their family, what ever that makes it good.

It's usually because the woman getting married isn't an adequate enough match for the poor farax. The Farax comes into the marriage expecting the continuation of womanly duties such as eating, cleaning, chores being completed on time, bed being made etc that his cultured, beloved hooyo used to do. Many Faraxs such as myself have grown fond of this tradition and we wish to continue being served and being the man of the house. Unlike our mothers though, unfortanately most Somali females who grew up in the West failed to pick up key skills from their mothers coupled with the fact that they feel they are emancipated from "old, patriarchal expectations on woman" and other garbage fed to them in the education system. Farax then becomes extremely frustrated with this self-entitled, lazy, irresponsible wife and eventually cuts her out.

It is a vicious cycle which can be stopped but difficult to do so due to years of bad habits.

Don't get married in the first place if you know your not financially ready nor have a steady income, being young has nothing to do with it but most importantly their has to be some sort of compromising between the couple, My 17yr old cousin in Shangaani today has his third child on the way, and providing for his family. In the west alot of young folks are being spoiled
