Waryaa,

Mistaken identity. The one I knew never went back ever,

But to the topic, this thread has shown the dark side. These folks are the same folks who would go ape shid over perceived mistreatment by Christians yet won't even tolerate Christians in their homelands.

I am going to go out on a limb and insist that the Somali people rebuild the Cathedral and restore it to its previous condition. It is unspeakable what was done to it.

Abdiwahab: There is a clear difference btwn an apostate and a christian. I don't care about Christians, so stop the irrelevant intolerant of christains bull crap. Must I remind you again and again? A person who was a muslim priorly and who knowingly left Islam deserves to be killed. Are you able to fathom that much? If so, respond directly and leave your irrelevant points out of this discussion.

Waryaa: Why are you asking me that question? I've already told you that apostasy is punishable by death because sharia deems it appropriate. Now use your imaginations to answer your own question.

Thug: I didn't twist your word sxb. I don't recall giving common muslims the power to decide and punish apostates. There is nothing ambiguous about this subject. It's clear cut, a person is a muslim, then he consciously leaves the diin, and sharia says kill that person. What don't you understand?

A Muslim is considered to have left Islam in many instances eg giving up prayer etc.
You do not only have to renounce Islam to be outside of the religion, many actions take us out of Islam, including murdering innocent people.

There is no reason to insult her, but you're right Al Shabab waxba maa dhaamaan iyada iyo elitesomali. You can't just go and kill people, this is Kenya and according to the law in Kenya people can follow whatever religion they like.

Prominent Somali Christian Martyred in Northeast Kenya
SFJ. 07 February 2013
Hargeisa, Somaliland

Updated 10 February at 08:00 AM local time

Suspected Al Shabab Islamists opened fire on two somali Christian leaders in Garissa, Kenya, killing one immediately and wounding the other.

Rev. Abdi Welli Ahmed, a longtime missionary in West Africa and East Africa, was shot and killed this morning around 11:00 AM local time. Pastor Ibrahim M. Makunyi who was with Rev. Abdi Welli at the time of the attack sustained gun wounds.

The two Somali church leaders were ambushed in Garissa's main market.

Rev. Abdi Welli, a Somali Kenyan, is survived by his Nigerian born wife, Hellen, and three children.

According to eye witnesses, Rev. Abdi Welli's last words were: "it's good to be in the hands of Al Shaddai."

The Lord found Rev. Abdi Welli in 1990 and was baptized in 1995 , Rev. Abdi Welli returned to Kenya in 2000 after serving in Niger as a missionary. He was ordained in 2004.

A Somali church leader in Mogadishu, Somalia, said in a telephone interview, "with the martyrdom of Rev. Abdi Welli, the Somali church has lost its only eye." He described Rev. Abdi Welli as a "fearless evangelist, pastor and gifted missionary."

The Somali Christian community will miss Rev. Abdi Welli dearly. The Somali church has shown in the past to be very resilient.

A house church pastor in Baidawa, Somalia, described Rev. Abdi Welli as "one of the finest ministers the Somali church has ever produced." She continued and said "the Somali church is the Lord's and he will protect it from the evil one. No degree of Muslim persecution will destroy the Somali church."

Rev. Abdi Welli's widow, with the help of the Christian community in Garissa, is prepared to bury her husband but Rev. Abdi Welli's Muslim relatives are demanding to bury him based on a clannish tradition.

Some Christian leaders in Garissa expressed concern that Muslim relatives want to burry Abdi Welli because they want to humiliate and desecrate his body to send a message to the Muslim background Somali Christians in the town.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the two leaders.

Somalis For Jesus condemns in the strongest terms possible the cowardly attack on peace loving individuals who positively contribute to their communities.

Dadkiinaan muranka bilaabay, meeday alwalaa walbaraa? xaqul raximka waxaan ahayn mooyee, qofka islaamka ka tago waa qof laga maarmay. Saxaabada waxay la dagaaleen aabayaashood walaalahood wiilashood reerahooda sida Islaamka kor loo yeelo. Ma intaasoo dhan ayaa diidantihiin?

Ninkaan Kiinya lagu dilay waxuu ku noolaa wilaayad aan Islaam ahayn, ee xukun laguma ridi karo dabcan balse shariicada horteeda wuxuu ka yahay khaarijul millah.

Waryaa: A muslim raised fella who chose to deviate from the faith must be killed. It's what the religion says. Quit questioning bruh.
Please provide evidence (preferably Quranic). What logic is this based on when tomorrow that same person could realise the error of his way and return to Islam? Why not engage the person in a dialogue and see if you can convince him through dacwa. What right do you have to kill or take a life when it is not yours to take i.e. you do not give nor create life? And also, if every human being is "born as a muslim" then does that mean you are going to kill all non-muslim considering that by definition they have "converted" to an alternative faith. if we then take statement like "if you do not pray you are a gaalo", then you would have to kill a chunk of the Muslim community as well!?

You've got a lot of questions to answer :whoa:

you cannot kill him. you cannot be judge and jury and law enforcement at the same time.

even time of sahabah, they were brought and jailed close to masjid to hear quran, and give them time over and over until they change their mind.

killing wouldnt help any one in this time and age. years ago there was kuwaiti council in brazil. he converted to catholic. was big thing in the gulf. cause his wife was muslim and didnt agree his act, court divorced her and he lost his kids custody. as no custody to none moslim on muslim kids.

years after, he back to islam. so if they killed him, he may never got a chance to repent. give people chance, you never know what is going into their head.

walle working in the court, opened my eyes a lot. i will even consider to be a judge now.lol
