'They don't care about your morning breath!' YouTube sensation Emily Hartridge on the 10 reasons why a dog is better than a man

In her regular YouTube ’10 reasons why’ video blogs Emily Hartridge covers all manner of life topics from siblings to sex.


She disappointed some of her female fans with last week's installment (10 reasons why ... dogs are better than women) but this week the internet sensation Emily has returned to female friendly form to take a swipe at the men in our life.

The risqué comic lists the annoying habits of the opposite sex that seem to make a canine a far better companion by comparison.


While women may like a boy to be protective of them, Emily points out that they have a tendency to become ‘restraining order obsessive’, while a dog will only protect you in a healthy manner.




A dog is loyal and will remain by your side and though, as Emily attempts in her hilarious sketch, you can try keeping your partner on a lead men do tend to stray.


Dogs also are far less fussy and demanding than men – they don’t care about your morning breath or if you gain weight, and they’ll eat whatever you prepare for them without complaint.

It's always good to be a critical thinker, to question, learn, and reason, so I don't know why anyone would dismiss such inquiries.

There is no prohibition of owning or touching dogs anywhere in the Qur'an. Nowhere in the Qur'an does it state that dogs are dirty or lowly creatures. The only mentions of dogs are in the narration of the cave-dwellers (who were good believers) and their dog, in the verses which explain which foods are permitted (foods caught by our dogs are permitted to us, why would this be allowed if they were lowly, dirty, and not allowed to be kept?), and in a verse that uses the metaphor of a panting dog (7:176).

"Nothing is haram (unlawful) unless it is prohibited by God Himself, and since God describes the Quran as complete, perfect and fully detailed, thus all the prohibitions decreed by God are found in the Quran."

Honestly, abayo, since I began reading the Qur'an - really sitting down and reading in it my hands - my entire views on everything has changed. What I had previously thought was true turned out to be false, what I had previously thought to be wrong was not wrong at all, and my overall views on Islam, existence, and the universe turned upside down. It's a wonderful experience and the Qur'an is easy for all to understand, despite what some say. So I suggest reading the Qur'an, as much or as little as you want any time. Just that seemingly small act can change a life, I know it's changed mine, thanks be to Allah.

thanks for your advice. Quran is the best source for wisdom and imaan. I guess I should go research it myself. I thought the hygiene issue had direct concern the salat more anything to do with a dog itself. You know-- in the prophet pbuh, had a tale of a prostitute who was promised to paradise just for relieving the thirst of a dog. All, and all, thanks darling!
