So the fact that innocent Darood were deliberatedly targetted because they shareda clan with Siyad Barre makes sense to you?. And you call yourself a religious person? What if Allah(swt) or even a judge on this earth punished you soely based on the fact you are related to a person who murdered someone?
The actions were not rational and no one is justifying it but it was all about retaliation. The main problem is that Darood civilians didnt speak out against the atrocities committed against non Daroods, silence often equals consent, sadly this was the reality in most cases. There was a silent agreement, what further proves this, is the fact that Cabdullahi Yusuf and his clansmen got a hand from the Hawiye in Mudug, who refused to snitch on them, who gave them shelter and helped them. When the regime later on managed to crack down the movement, Cabdullahi Yusuf and his cohorts were convinced by the regime to attack the same people who helped them, just because of clan affiliation.
You do the maths markaa...
