None of those are settled by the Dhulbahante so they are not "contested" areas.

Western Hudun is Isaaq settlement particularly HY Sacad Younis While the east of that district is Dhulos but that doesn't really matter because there is no oil exploration in Hudun at the moment. Genel is exploring Canaba and Odweyne blocks only.

It's clear all the ESL didn't do you much good. Learn to read and then consider what really happened in Ankara. The last time I checked Hudun was in the Nugaal block.
Even white man is astonished by their crap.

It's interesting that an area that became SL's in 2007 is not presently under it's control. The decision and leadership of 13 Dhulbahante Garaads may have something to do with that. Khaatumo State contests any referendum not undertaken with voter registration and identity cards, a necessity pointed out by the international observers before the SL election commission threw out all the results from the SSC after SL's recent local elections.

Skywalker,

I preceed the Kacaan by two years. I was there for the joy and wonder at the beginning of a new state. Aden Adde was my President. We didn't even discuss clans.

The British had separate treaties with each of the clans. There was no joint administration. The Isaaq have no claim on the Dhulbahante lands, no right to claim empire. The Dhulbahante live there and control the land. If they can make that case loudly enough, they will hold onto it. Inshallah.

Horn petroleum has no deal with Somaliland. It was Puntland that had a deal with them.
Genel and Orphir have licenses from the SL government.

And both are digging in Isaaq lands.

A bunch of Daaroods dancing for Mahiga.
Who knows maybe Grant was present at this party.

It also turns out the malicious rumour
that Mahiga had an Isaaq wife was of Daarood origin.

With youtube and the internet, propaganda is thwarted
yet again :stylin:

"Genel - a Turkish oil exploration and production company - has stake in five blocks in the contested regions of northern Somalia. The company shares stock with Australian Oil Company Jacka Resources and Petrosoma."

The oil companies all have interlocking stock. What part of "has stakes in five blocks in the contested regions of northern Somalia" don't you understand? Horn's interests overlap, but It isn't Puntland attacking Hudun.

Contested region they mean as in Sool region, Caynabo is part of Sool but it is an Isaaq settlement fully under Somaliland thus it is not contested rather the other
areas like Taleex, Xudun are contested by different entities hence the label of "contested" for the region. Don't read too much into it.
