google search widget history

I am trying to retrieve information from my phones Google search widget.
few days ago while driving I've typed a vehicles plate number that is of concern into search bar so I don't forget it/lose it. Since then I've used the search engine countless times.

As of today I am only able to see the most recent searches and not old ones.
How do I go about getting the information I'm looking for?

Did you click search after inputting the number? otherwise it won't show. If you did then simply press the first number and it should come up.

Yes I did.

So far I've pressed all the alphabet letters and all that is showing are contacts on my phone
