He was a progressive shabaabist. I mean 99% of somalis wants amisom to leave. But we disagree on how they leave. I believe Ceyroow believed that the renegade treacherous govt of ina yeey should be destroyed and replaced by icu/shabaab govt.
He died young, many of us would like to see how he behaved when sharif was made president.
We cant compare him to aweys because aweys is powerhungry asshole who was jealous of sharif. But Ceyroow wanted to save somali people from total destruction, he did not close the door of diplomacy. If he did close that door he wouldnt talk to ICU and try to solve things out.
We can not compare him to godane aswel because godane is a qabilist who attacks certain clans out of hatred.

Perhaps it was better that he died as Mujahid before the Great Fitan(shabaab kicking out icu from jowhar, fighting against hizbuislam, and now the huge civilwar between shabaab's godane and shabaab's abu mansuur roobow(milatu ibrahim militia) in which abu mansur amriki was wounded and he fears now for his life kkkkkk).

They killed him with a very expensive missile when other jihadists like Hasan Awes/Sharif, etc were roaming around freely. They did that for a reason as he was the founder of Shababs and the most extremist guy @ the time.

He was never a moderate, he was actually the most feared man in Somalia. I remember asking a somali reporter why they never interviewed him and he said "if Cayrow looks @ at u in a certain way u'll be dead by tomorrow. No1 messes with him."

If you like him and his cause then u gotta support shababs - he is dead but his doctrine is alive. Isn't it hypocrisy to glorify him and hate his brainchild @ the same time?

Then how can you explain the fact that he had meetings with ICU officials after it was known that Sharif's icu was in talks with the govt.
If he was really extremists he would not attend meetings with icu officials , in truth he would dismiss icu as murtaddiin.
Personaly i think and know for sure godane is far more worse. If his cousin Afghani complains about him, that should tell you everything. This godane is dictator and clannist.

I give Ceyroow the benefit of the doubt, not because he is from same tol. In such case i would defend aweys now . That is not the reason. I looked upon his intentions with icu and found him to be someone who wishes for peace.


If he would be another godane today, nothing would change really. Shabaab would be still losing.

He was behind the killings of 1000+ prominent Hawiye's such as General Jilicoow,Macallin Haaruun,Dr Cigaal, Abdulqadir Yahye etc.

Abti you are absolutely correct. This idiot even threatened to kill the Ugaaska Guud HG ee kan Cayr. He crossed so many lines and it was about time that he got took out. He also helped introduce homicide bombings to Somalia and made it an epicenter of terrorism.

It amases me how confused are Hawiye group in Somalinet , and how they use Islam and the name of Somalia when it suits their tribal agenda , for instance they would be celebrating when Alsheydan group kills people in Puntland and cursing them when they do the same in Mogadishou , good example is 13 Alshabab people who were found guilty beyon reasonable doubt and killed yesterday.
