Gay rights and black rights should not be mentioned together
As a black man in america, it pisses me off when people try to associate the gay rights movement with the black rights movement. Sexual orientation and race are two very different things and advocacy for rights of each one are and should be different. Being black is something you are born as while being gay is up for debate about how natural it is. A gay person can hide being gay, a black person cannot. None of the major religions in the world say anything wrong about being black, all of them say being gay is wrong. The fact that they are sometimes compared honestly gives the black rights movement less merit and legitimacy.

Whether I like it or not, I am viewed and treated as a black man in america. I never denied that fact. Don't compare me to hydrogen who is clearly racist. But for you, you should accept that we are 100% genetically distinct from other sub-saharah africans. that's just a fact.DR-YALAXOOW wrote:herndonhomer wrote:As a black man in america, .

Hern@looool u funny. Whether u LIKE it Or NOT, blacks and gays and women are in the same boat. They are ALL inferior to the supreme WHITE man race. Simple as that. (even inferior to a white gay man)
Re: Gay rights and black rights should not be mentioned toge
The Blacks (AA) have allowed this to happen. They don't respect themselves.
A gay guy will go lengths for you to tolerate him. They don't care about past injustices that have occurred. They are thinking about their future. A black guy has programmed himself to always have a chip on his shoulder about his ancestors being slaves and the irony is they still haven't gotten any reparations nor have they even managed to ban that Confederate flag. On top of that, they never think about their future.
Gay is not the new Black. Black has become the new Gay.

Re: Gay rights and black rights should not be mentioned toge
I was watching the news today and I came across this debate on whether the Washington Redskins should be renamed on grounds of the nickname being offensive to native americans. Anyway..two random people - 1 white and 1 black were interviewed and asked for their opinions, the white guy said something along the lines of...the native americans should decide if the name causes offence to them and if it does it should definitely be removed. Now for some reason I assumed the black guy would be sympathetic but uh uh...he said that the name has existed for so long it is wrong to change it now regardless of it causing offence to a minority. I wonder if his answer would of been the same if the name in question was derogative to the AA community.
Anyway, it kind of reinforced a stereotype I had of black bantus in general; they lack the perception to see beyond the now; they are simply simplistic and lack depth of perception beyond the now. Maanta....sad, unfortunately.

To understand that you have to understand the history of the civil rights movement
The white establishment, mainly Republican party were reluctanf to push through the race equality law in 1966.After a lot of pressure with the publicity of MLK's historic march to Washington. The general hypocrital stance of the US in regards to Apartheid South Africa and many other things that were going on at the time.So to dissuade the senate pushing through the equality law the right wing Republicans added a clause which said there should be no discrimination in sexual orientation either.Fully expecting the law to be rejected, they were suprised when the bill was voted for along with what they thought was a sure stopper.Ever since then that the two have been linked ever since
