somali presidents political tactics
Apparently, he has no political position that is fixed on a single idea. Is he a machiavillian politician? All his contradicting meetings in the uk shows that he has no political principles also indicates that he makes no distinction between them and is kinda saying why it shouldn't happen?
Maybe we can understand now better his first infiltration when the current FM was appointed.
They said that the somali president doesn't care about the nationalists, unionists who always been rewarded with such positions, he would care more about an influential men in their sociaties and more advantagerous ones that will pass into him some thing.
Who was that influential guy mohamed amin who got stopped at kismayo airport? I heard he is from a big house, he hails from the same subclan of shaykh madoobe.
What about puntlands opposition parties? Some are saying they may represent puntland society in the power as an independent group.
A cabinet reshufle is on the way with an influential men.

Sahal,
I'd like to see the President focus less on conferences, kismayo, puntland, etc. and more on other situtations. Can You tell Me what He is doing to stop the ruthless clan mooryaan Gov Soldiers who are harassing the local population in L Shabelle? Can You tell Me what He is doing to stop rape by Government soldiers in IDP camps? These are issues that the world is watching and gets the average Somali citizen angry.

If the Government doesn't deal with these pressing issues, and ignores the usurpation of power and properties in the capital, unionists will jump ship.

He is somalias president not a local governor.Murax wrote:Sahal,

When your running a country you have to work as a whole not as a unites.
He changed xamar, you have seen one more 1000 police yesterday spreading in there.
Lower shabeele is away from his people, I don't mean the subclan one would suppose, there are many groups now and each one breaks the order with his own isbaaro. The problem is that they are not coherent and the govt is trying to gether them, they are three groups in the army with ununited commanders. The govt needs to form a more coherent army and administration in lower shabeele then every thing will be fine.

Re: somali presidents political tactics
His responsibility is to govern, which means, he has to ensure vulnerable populations receive adequate aid which includes government protection from marauding, land-expansionist thugs. If a governor isn't doing his job properly, he has to replace him! If a SNA thug victimises a civilian, he has to ensure a military court deals with it appropriately. Instead, he's concerned about grass-roots level state building in Jubbaland!sahal80 wrote: He is somalias president not a local governor.

One of these days, these abused people will rise up and the shabeelle river will become red with the blood of the oppressors!

Re: somali presidents political tactics
As someone mentioned before, the president needs to get his priorities straight. He should consolidate the gains made in Mogadiscio and environs and cease at once the disproportionate time and energies spent on issues relating to regions far removed from his current sphere of influence. No more engaging in fruitless negotiations with Somaliland nor constant obsession and yapping about the formation of the so called Jubaland State. Just focus on the more pressing issues with a much higher rate of success.
Re: somali presidents political tactics
Intarnationally, he put the state back to the world stages like any other state wich is great but locally many are againist the come back of the state even within xamar let alone... He is changing though and has done justice reform, xamar is nearly finish...the lower shabeele has less problem than jubooyinka, there is one administration, one official army but that administration is not coherent the same thing goes for their army. The govt has made all the main three groups working together because its not time for a radical change wich the govt is avoiding from however, the govt must change the bad commanders and officials in there in all of them.Guul13 wrote:His responsibility is to govern, which means, he has to ensure vulnerable populations receive adequate aid which includes government protection from marauding, land-expansionist thugs. If you got property in there you can go now, many have got them back. however, not just the courts, they are setting up now the bank and the taxation systems because in the next two years our international money from next june will be managed by a joint committee from the govt and the new UN ambassador for somalia intead of NGOs after that the govt should manage for itself.Guul13 wrote:So when will the courts in Mogadishu return people's properties?sahal80 wrote:

Re: somali presidents political tactics
Not true. Most people that attempted to reclaim their properties were met with extreme hostility, some didn't make it back like that man that was murdered recently. The government needs to focus on this issue if it wants to be taken seriously!sahal80 wrote: If you got property in there you can go now, many have got them back. however, not just the courts, they are setting up now the bank and the taxation systems because in the next two years our international money from next june will be managed by a joint committee from the govt and the new UN ambassador for somalia intead of NGOs after that the govt should manage for itself.

I know some who got them back, one ajuran family. At the moment, the govts properties are back because they are well known but the people should wait until the judicial system fully works by next year.Guul13 wrote:Not true.
