12 Al Shabab terrorists killed by Hiiraan nomads

Twelve suspected al-Shabaab militants were killed Thursday (May 23rd) in a counter-attack by nomadic communities in Somalia's Hiran region, according to news reports.

The clashes began Wednesday when al-Shabaab reportedly "killed a number of nomads" in a village west of Beledweyne after a dispute after al-Shabaab wanted to collect some of the nomads' livestock as "payment", Somalia's Garowe Online reported.

Residents from Dudumoqaris and Sabahume acted in retaliation after al-Shabaab killed at least five civilians Wednesday, accusing them of collaborating with the Hiran regional administration, Hiran regional security commissioner Mohamed Ibrahim Abdi told UN-funded Radio Bar-Kulan.

Abdi said the dead included an al-Shabaab leader.

Al shabaab attacked these villages 4 days ago for ganiimo and they went inside ethiopia where they had big fight with its new police.

Its not west of baladweyne its in the northwest, bakool, hiraan, kilinka borders about 75km northwest of baladweyne

There lives jajeele pro-govt clan and the deputy of the governor for security also the chief of the hiiraan police both are from there and were sending them a gurmad.

I told you that we have strategy of arming the nomads in hiiraan and that many villages are controlling just by them and the army goes there every month.
There is army around qurac joome close to these villages.
