Why do you love them when you have never touched them or owned them?grandpakhalif wrote:I love camels so much even though I never ever touched one, I wanna own 10 of them and ride off into the sunset with camel in tow. What a beautiful animal it is and a blessing from Allah
I rather die than have Somalis lose the important stature of the camel.

Even If I were to abandon my camels, what do you suggest I should do with my 100+ camels back home? sell them off?
Idk man, I just always loved camel even when I was little we even had a little camel statue in my living room, signifying its importance.Lamgoodle wrote:Why do you love them when you have never touched them or owned them?grandpakhalif wrote:I love camels so much even though I never ever touched one, I wanna own 10 of them and ride off into the sunset with camel in tow. Waan fahmay laakin you just said let's embrace farming you didn't suggest what we should do with the millions of camels roaming the Somali lands. Xagee la gaynaya geela intaa le'eg? or are you saying we should utilise them for ploughing?Lamgoodle wrote:Ismaill87 wrote:Abandon the camels??? NEVER!!!!

Ma fahantay qoraalka?
I am surprised that some of you did not understand what I wrote above.

I was offended in the first paragraph then I could only laugh as I realised and accepted some of the truth of your words and finally pride as I thought of my love affair with salbuko![]()
You raise valid points and like you I never did understand the blacksmith, fisherman, farmer issue. That said going back to your first paragraph Lord have mercy could you have piled on any more insults?
We have been optimistic the last 20+ years and nothing has changed.BlackVelvet wrote:I'm good and hugely optimistic about the future of our country that may be because I am not yet middle aged or angry![]()
Seeing as we seem to have become the Jews of South Africa to an extent it would be wise to avoid it in Europe. To be honest I see where you are coming from when it comes to certain behaviours that some people display. But where I am everyone is working and contributing to the economy. All the Somalis I can count off the top of my head are either students, self employed business owners or employed tax payers. Granted I am not around too many Somalis but still I think it is very easy to exaggerate the bad and ignore the positives.
