Oh what a feeling!

Post by Lamagoodle »

I am very happy today my fellow somalis. I have never been this happy for many years

Many years ago, there was this guy that helped me to survive in Somalia. He was a restaurant owner. I could come, dine and leave without paying a cent. But, I kept a log in my mind that I had a debt totaling 100 dollars.

I have had sleepless nights about this debt. I have tried to enquire about the whereabouts of this guy but in vain ( I even PM-ed some members on this forum).

Yesterday, I got a phone call from Nairobi and it was the guy. He went through a battery of hardships; his two brothers and his son were killed. He was in a refugee camp in Kenya for many years.

I sent him 1 000 dollars and I could hear his cry of joy.

What a feeling to pay back! :stylin: :stylin: :stylin:

I was in this Muxaadaro by a Muslim a scholar where he was talking about small things that bring a sense of happiness and a peace of mind. He said that one feels very happy when he/she helps (i.e. gives small or a certain amount of money, like you did now) someone who is really in need of help. This is really great. Please continue with your asxaan. May Allah reward you tremendiously.

Congrats...

My mom had some debt to an old friend from about 20 yrs ago, she paid it off when we went to Somalia. She knew the lady's full name and clan. It was a fun adventure stalking her down. I thought it would be a fruitless search but weird thing was it only took us 20 minutes of searching and asking around.
