Somali shakespeare: Sangub

Post by Typhoon »

he is a living legend just watch his qabyo series and you see a real artist, it doesn`t matter were he is, he still produces great work, compare to hadarawi who is known for small works, what has hadrawi produced in the last 30 years worthy of our attention
hadarawi is more on tv publishing himself then he produces.
hadarawi ma gabyo walegis gabay ma qorin, he stick to heeso iyo afarey and geel and childeren rhymes

yamyam(aun) is great but he also has been not activate

sanguub is league of his own still relevant to our parents generation and to our generation

if you lucky enough to meet sanguub make sure you document everything he says because history will show that we were at the presence of one of the greats

True :up: He is a legend. As a matter of fact he is not given the attribute he deserved. People usually start recognizing peoples achievement or talent after they die...Sangub is way better than Shakespeare..The only difference is that Shakespeare is acknowledged by his people..

Goodness thats impossible, his Darod for crying out loud. Kambuli knows they are of the purest people walking the earth and are all destined for heaven. The Siyad was a hero, so was Barre and Yaye. Dont bring such silly notions to this one...

Mystery man,

We all heard that story and if I remember well he left the country before he was convicted. It is a disaster if he actually did it. But this does not change the fact that he is a gifted Poet. The topic was his talent and he was compared to Shakespeare..I still believe he is better than Shakespeare...

He has tons of songs one of them;

If he did it, I wouldn't want anything to do with his works.
