When a seemingly great work week goes out of the control because someone somewhere is not doing what they are supposed to do, I get this feeling that I want to slap everyone that I see.
What do you do to overcome such feelings?

Re: Work Frustrations
I take a walk, smoke a cigarette and look at the plans for my future retirement home that I have started working on. I can see myself at the rooftop starring down at the valley and my luscious green lawn with palm trees.
Then I go in and tell these crackers not to fock with me.

Navy, please do not take a rifle and shoot; that is what americans do, we are told.
Under performing co-workers (free riders) is good; imagine what will happen of all workers perform to the maximum; there will be no hierarchical structures in organisations.

Re: Work Frustrations
PO, I never said they were good saaxib. But, I assume it is because of:
a) Predefined levels of leadership in the organisations that is recognisible by the employees
b) There is an obvious command structure
c) Employee motivation; remember we react to initiatives
d) Specialisation- hierarchy plays a key role
e) Loyalty towards the organisation etc
f) and maybe as Max Weber wrote it creates a culture of bureaucracy
