Basra is very good at deciphering these types of events, she makes snet the premier in somali gossip, especially in terms of qabils of victims and victors which is an important indicator for all things somali. basra is also the quintessential somali in that she hates foreingers and 'others' percieved to be pillaging our dhaqan. she has made an impenetrable argument against the girl's defense in how the girl befriended such a fella to began with, and submit to his desires in such harsh treatment and actions. in first i had these same sentiments, but figured that either the girl is mentally unstable (which is fastly gaining ground) or was a party to the act and is just looking for a way out. without have that first condition, i would have rightly concurred with Basra that we are dealing with a bona fide 'love'. but the actions of the man in spreading such things, of all places in her work area, begs the question what was his motivation to such a despicable act and does give credence to the girl's side of the story. if we are to give anyone the benefit of the doubt, it should be this troubled sister.
