I don't think Mo Farrah cares about Somali politics or tribes for that matter. He is just trying to live his life. He is a British citizen, British olympian, married to a non Somali, celebrates Christmas, he doesn't really care! It's probably his pro secessionist family who tells him to carry the Somaliland flag, visit Somaliland etc so It can get more media attention. But I don't think he personally cares for any of that business which is why he probably supports which ever whenever.
