That's their weakness. Mooryantas logic is i want to control this area and the un must pay if they want access. Do you think isaaqs or daroods would have managed better had they had the capital? Also the issue of alshabab for example. What i dont understand is why are they not in puntland or somaliland. Why only south Somalia? could it be the isaaqs and daroods fought them bravely and the hawiye and rahanweyn are to currupt to fight them. Thats what it looks to me. I think we need a process of choosing a new temporary capital like hawdian brother said whilst building brand new one thats green and breezy. we shouldn't wait for one tribe and for another 20 years because they not happy with what's being done!!!!

CEERIGAABO with the right administration and investment can challenge any city in africa

whitehartlane,

I too was going to say Erigavo. With Daallo next door and fertile region, it can actually be more lush than most Southern regions if managed right.

It is also somewhat midway between Isaaqis and Darood at least Isaaq and Harti.

We would have developed Las Qorey and Maid as ports for this new capital and its block away from the important Middle Eastern markets.

Hawiye is blackmailing all of us because they occupy that illegal capital...if we dismissed most of the former regions (18 provinces) we should also dissolve the capital and start everything from fresh...fresh beginning for Somali Democratic Federal Republic.

Saajabshee,

al shabab go to Hawiye because they know Hawiye is disorganized and has no chain of command. When you don't have a command or a leader, any leader can come and appoint himself as the leader and take charge of that people. If al shabab come to SL they have to defeat SL administration, Guurti, Suldaano----not worth it, same with Daroods.

Ceerigaabo definitely has the potential to be a superstar.. great mountain range superb fertile ground with the most peaceful amongst the nomads in the north..you hardly ever hear anything out of ceerigaabo. .

Unfortunately ceerigaabo is very much like Mongolia. .there are no roads to and from there to the major cities. Ceerigaabo is for me very much like harar ..a beautiful place in my mind and high on my list to visit but most likely ill never get there.
