SL Aviation Minister asks forgiveness for failed project

Post by Hawdian »

After the failed Egal international airport project in which 80% of the donated fund was looted by associates of Ahmed Silanyo, the pretend aviation minister of the pretend country of Somaliland, Mr. Mahmoud Hashi Abdi, has requested the country's leading religious scholars to bless the airport. Mr Abdi was showing off a little patched tarmac and minor clean up.

This project, which suppose to cost $5.6 million, was expected to finish more than 6 months ago but patching tarmac and minor clean up takes 18 months on the ixtiraaf calendar...every time ixtiraaf lands the work was forced to be suspended and to make it seem like all $5.6m were going there when in fact about $1.9m went in there.

Sheikhs not impressed at all. Waste of their iibada time.

Image

Their faces say it all, men of holy can't lie for the sack of ixtiraaf like the rest.

This Sheikh checks if the little tarmac can handle his bakoorad let alone a plane. To be honest, high school students can do a better job.

Image

Hashi tells them that cost him $5m plus. More like his new house in UK did.

Sheikhs land on the poor tarmac runaway that was closed for no reason for more than 18 months. No plane is going to come here apart from Ethiopia's Q400 which already lands in Berbera without the purported $5m renovation.

Another lie busted. Ixtiraaf camp will not be happy tonight. Complete rubbish!! In conclusion this is one of the biggest failed projects in the history of Somalia.

its failed because the govt is non existant really due to world isolation, but when recognition comes this will all change. until then, we must call on the patriotic non state actors to help the govt in developing the basic infrastructures of the society.

if i was leader though, i can massively increase the presence of the state without recognition - taiwan would be my model :D

loooooool keep using the ixtiraaf excuse. You guys had healthy $10m. The airport in Jijiga cost Ethiopian Federal government only $5.3 million and now its far better than Egal.

I am sorry guys, this went into Silanyo's family pocket and the kids he hired played with the airport.

Jijiga Airport, the whole thing cost $5.3 million and it was constructed by an Ethiopian company.
