As for the enlightened sister, and indeed you are enlightened on this matter of Syria and Bashar, I was born in Holland and lived in Syria for 2 years, wallahi this Bashar was a fine leader, that treated his people with outmost respect and dignity!

I as an Somali descent was encouraged by the Syrian authority to carry the Somali passport (Somalia passport, doesn't need a visa in Syria) and walk freely as one of their own, I studied there Islamic course in such, and faced no obstacles at the duration i have stayed in Syria!

Many Somalis are now in Europe, USA and Canada because of the kindness of Syria.

For 1300 years, the Muslim ummah lived under Islamic rule. We were the best in maths and science, leaders in pioneering technology, developed and wealthy, powerful nations, even stronger than Russia or America or China today.

Then, in 1924, this state was finally dismantled, and replaced with small secular dictatorship.

What ensued, was 100 year long dark ages of oppression, and backwardness and darkness.

Finally, in the last 10 or 20 years, we have finally uprooting this order and bringing back modern, elected islamic leaders who want to work for our nations, who want to further the goals of Islam whilst working for the Muslim peoples aspirations.

Only a fool would want to maintain this 100 year old status quo.

Yes it will require some sacrifice. Do you think the European countries weren't in turmoil when they transitioned from their dark aged fiefdoms to modern civilian states? Of course there was chaos. But look at them now. The most powerful advanced states on earth.

We need to uproot these backwards dictators and bring forwards a new order for the Muslim world, the Erdogans and Mursi's and Ennahda's, those who are both modern and civilised, aswell as Islamic in their outlook.

This is the future of the ummah inshAllah and the Assad's and As-Sisi's are the old guarde who stand in our way.

Even if the whole of Syria gets destroyed by Allah it will be worth it if Assad's regime is purged from Syria and replaced with a moderate Islamic regime inshAllah.

Have you not heard the story about little Faisal and how he was tortured and killed by Assad security forces, have you not heard how Shabiha forces rape women infront of their sons and daughters? Haven't you heard that Assad shabiha forces, cut the throats of infant children, elderly grandmas not even sparing the helpless? How can someone support this animal, I am utterly baffled and distraught that there are Muslims weliba who claim to be sunni that support this bloodthirsty madman.
