Re: How 6 Million People Were Killed In CIA Secret Wars
After the fact, this is going to sound disingenuous, but you did notice that every bit of that was illegal under US law?
It was the Cold War. Did you notice how Stockwell keeps coming back to the Soviet Union? What did Somalia loose when they changed sides?
For comparison, estimates of total losses in WWII range from 60-85 million, way more civilians than military. The Cold War was nasty, but relatively tame as it was fought through proxies. The principals did not dare attack each other.

Somalis have the perfect saying for such "laws"you did notice that every bit of that was illegal under US law?
Meaning make all the noises without actually doing anything about it.The fact that not one agent has been prosecuted for whatever so called laws they broke. Is a testament to this.Plus there is no country on earth where they have laws that legally allow for the killing of innocent civilians. So what's you point"Qawda Maqalsii Waxna Ha U Qaban"

Re: How 6 Million People Were Killed In CIA Secret Wars
I suggest you do a little reading on the Cold War:
http://www.history.com/topics/cold-war
http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/worldwars/coldwar/
It's not as simple as you seem to want to make it. The Cold War dominated international relations for 35 years, most of it underground. The US was not the sole player.

It was not the sole player but it was by far the biggest killer.Having a so called "Cold War" is not a licence for murder. So what if certain countries wanted to adopt communism as the state apparatus

Read the history. It wasn't local politics that was at issue. It was world domination.

Believe me I know all about the history of the cold war I don't need to re-read what I already know,You're trying to justify the killing of innocent civilians with the usual scare mongering that is typical of the Jewnited States. Were the countless peasants of Laos and Cambodia trying to dominate the world when that war criminal Kissinger bombed them to oblivion

Re: How 6 Million People Were Killed In CIA Secret Wars
Ten War Crimes Committed By The Jewnited States
1. Robert McNamara. Former US Secretary of Defense, helped kill approximately 2-3 million, mostly poor Vietnamese, Cambodians and Laotians. Not to mention a sizeable portion of the 58,000 dead US servicemen pressed into that war. Not to mention that equal number of US veterans who committed suicide in the years to follow. McNamara is an Elder Statesman now, walking around freely today.
2. Henry Kissinger. Former US Secretary of State, had a hand in the killings mentioned above. Plus condoned thousands of additional killings in Chile, under the sponsorship of US foreign policy. Won a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts. Elder Statesman, walking around freely today.
3. Bill Clinton. Former, disgraced US President. Initiated bombing raids against Yugoslavia and Iraq, neither country able to defend itself, resulting in the deaths of thousands. Conducted punitive sanctions against Iraq, resulting in hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths. Presided during Waco Massacre and Oklahoma City Bombing, thinly-disguised war crimes against US citizens.. Elder Statesman, walking around freely today, amply rewarded for book deals and speaking engagements.
4. George HW Bush. Former super spy, former US President, the first to graduate from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) into the presidency and bring lessons learned at CIA headquarters directly into US policy. While serving under Ronald Reagan, helped encourage the Iraq-Iran war, resulting in deaths of one million people, allowing US oil and arms dealers to profit greatly. During the 'Eighties, helped encourage US sponsored military dictators in Latin America, guilty of extermination of thousands of ordinary citizens, via US-trained "death squads." Conducted pre-emptive war with Panama, resulting in 1,000-4,000 deaths, simply to topple former CIA henchman and drug lord, Manuel Noriega. Elder Statesman, walking around freely today, basking in limelight.
5, Madeline Albright. Former US Secretary of State under Clinton. Condoned the punitive sanctions against Iraq that resulted in an estimated 500,000 deaths of children. Remarked that such sanctions were "worth it." Elder Stateswoman, walking around freely today.
6. George W. Bush. Two term US president, elected using electronic, "black box" voting methods that permit no verification of actual vote count. Conducted two pre-emptive wars, resulting in excess of 100,000 US. Iraqi and Afghani deaths. Condones the use of torture as US policy. Condones rejection of the Geneva Convention, becoming the first US president to openly do so. Considers the US Constitution "A Goddamned piece of paper." Embattled Statesman, walking around freely today.
7. ceeb Cheney. Former US Secretary of Defense, and signator of the PNAC, and current Vice President. Accused mastermind of the 911 "terrorist" attack against the US (unproven), Cheney has been called "The Vice President For Torture" by the Washington Post. A staunch supporter of the Middle Eastern War Without End, Cheney, like Wolfowitz and Rumsfeld bears particular responsibility for the conduct of the war. Elder Statesman, walking around freely today.
8. Paul Wolfowitz. Former US Deputy Secretary of Defense and architect of the Middle Eastern War Without End. Casualties in two pre-emptive wars now exceed 100,000 deaths, not including the estimated 2,000+ US deaths and 15,000 wounded. Won a Presidential Medal of Freedom for his work and a promotion to the head of the World Bank. Elder Statesman, walking around freely today.
9. Donald Rumsfeld. US Secretary of Defense during the Middle Eastern War Without End. A signator of the PNAC document that calls for pre-emptive hostile acts of US imperialism conducted by overwhelming military means (War) against weaker nations possessing scarce resources. Aside from the estimated 100,000 Iraqi deaths, the estimated 15-20,000 US casualties (dead and injured), and the untold tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands (millions?) who will suffer from the effects of depleted uranium in the years to come, Rumsfeld remains convinced the "war on terror" is just. A long time political appointee, Rumsfeld is an Elder Statesman, walking around freely today.
10. The use of Agent Orange by US forces in Vietnam

Re: How 6 Million People Were Killed In CIA Secret Wars
Comparative culpability should not be an issue. It was war. Bad things happened to a lot of good people. It lasted 35 years and there are differences of opinion over criminality and the awards due heroes. I am not minimizing the part the US played in this. We won.
Here's a good site that offers this chronology:
http://www.historylearningsite.co.uk/coldwar.htm
Cold War chronology
1945 : ‘A’-Bomb dropped on Hiroshima + Nagasaki. USA ahead in the arms race.
1947 : Marshall Aid to the west of Europe. Stalin of USSR refused it for Eastern Europe.
1948 : start of the Berlin Blockade - ended in 1949
1949 : NATO established; USSR exploded her first ‘A’-bomb; China becomes communist
1950 : Korean War started.
1952 : USA exploded her first hyrogen bomb.
1953 : Korean War ended. USSR exploded her first hydrogen bomb. Stalin died.
1955 : Warsaw Pact created. ‘Peaceful coexistence’ called for.
1956 : Hungary revolts against USSR. Suez Crisis.
1957 : Sputnik launched.
1959 : Cuba becomes a communist state.
1961 : Military aid sent to Vietnam by USA for the first time. Berlin Wall built.
1962 : Cuban Missile Crisis.
1963 : Huge increase of American aid to Vietnam.
1965 : USA openly involved in Vietnam.
1967 : Six-Day War in Middle East.
1968 : USSR invades Czechoslovakia.
1973 : Yom Kippur War.
1979 : USSR invaded Afghanistan.
1986 : Meeting in Iceland between USSR (Gorbachev) and USA (Reagan).
1987 : INF Treaty signed.
I did not add the Soviet-Ethiopia-Somalia-US events of 1977-78, but if you read this link you will get the picture. No one side was playing angel.
It so happens I agree with you on Waco, and would add Ruby Ridge; but your understanding of Oklahoma City is incorrect and I doubt Wikipedia history will agree with your assessments of government officials who implement government policy. If you plan to write this as history, I suggest publishing it outside the West.

Stay in your lane & don't concern yourself with who "Americans" kill...You ain't seen nothing yet! There are necessary evils in this world. Those who may have been killed were deemed unfit & it was for the greater good of humanity! You can't be squeamish about these kinds of things someone has to do it! They would've ended up killing each other in one fashion or another anyways!ToughGong wrote:That America kills more innocent civilians than any other country on this planet
