Corruption isn't the problem. To think corruption prevents economic growth is myth propagated by the west. There are many countries which are "corrupt" according to HDI statistics but have undergone miraculous growth, most of them are East Asian. No, the problem is a lack of initiative. No initiative to mobilize the population into a highly-trained working one. There's no initiative to fix the countries currency problems and improve infrastructure. All this can be done even with bureaucratic far-cats lining their pockets.

There are other major problem (public state mindset). Walaahi I remember when one MP held press conference Kulahaa our Minster(minsterka qolodiisa) meel habeen lagu dhaxo lama geyn. he meant our minster is placed MEEL ABAAR AH... nothing to steal!!
This kind of mindset has to be altered.

Revolution isn't good sxb....a gradual evolution
is much safer and in the long term better.

who should be forcing them to make the necessary changes in their policies to uplift the Nation .

Our officials are a reflection of us, we can constantly change
them and cheer lead newer younger ones but the problem
won't go away until there's a significant change in our culture.

On a side note; I would also have suggested (although I think this is at least a couple of decade away)
that all thing's which shouldn't be subjected to petty party politics like
the Treasury, Armed Forces, Religion, Civil Service, Justice should be placed
under the authority of non elected non-politicians ...Maybe something
like an enhanced version of our present Guurti.

At the moment the president is the head of all the things I mentioned,
Too powerful, and it means if we have a bad president ...society suffers.
We need a system, where it doesn't matter if the president is a little corrupt
as the important things won't be under his control.

It is not up to debate that midget obviously stole the money any self-respected politician would have done the same that's they job to steal money and lie if he wouldn't have stolen that money i would have question his leadership he started by handling leaflet for somtel in burco now is the president thats the Somaliland dream .
