@ sahal, this thread was about afar and saho songs.
And about the dark/red afar, you have to remember that the role are now reverse . the former are now making progress interms politics and business, and the latter despite their pride and natural gift of boasting about the past are refugees in sinia desert, due to eritrea isolation.
By the way Beja/belew tribe are also called hawiyaa.
@ james Dahl, maybe you should go holiday in east africa, esp isolated villages.

Beja say hadad/dad/people, bus/bus/dust
Saho are af may of the afar, they understood eachother
Ancient Adalus port is located in saho country it means ada/white lus milk
Afar say xanuu written as qanu/cano.
Saho means cow herder/sacmaale
Oji sorry about changing the topic
Re: Afar and Saho
They are not call ado, rather adi hence adi hawiyaa in both ethio/Eri. Belaw hawiyaa are not small sub clan, but are one of major branch of belaw. you'll find them all the way to sudan.
Saho and afar are two different ethnic group now, what your read and reality are two different thing, saho language also share similarity to both oromo and somaal.
What is sacmaal? is it sa maal.

Re: Afar and Saho
Afar and saho are as useless as the Gallas, they sit approximately on 40% of Eritrea's territory and they're ruled by Hamasen EPLF of Eritrea, The saho consist of the Asaorte, the MiniFere, but they are very small the one in Ethiopia are called Irob. Saho the way they count is similar to the way Somalis count well maybe a lil.
