Hyper,

What was the worst/best experiences u had there? That goes for u Nabz too.

For me. I went to Kismayo and I have to say my weirdest/scariest experience was. A man approached me (never seen him b4) and asked me to pay him his share of the coal we exported together to Dubai  I am sitting at a teashop with some old timers and I first thought he was either kidding or just shaxaad doon, but he was serious. After a little exchange, he brandishes a revolver and cocks it. People just scattered, knowing that he could pull the trigger any minute.

sir, wad sigatay. i dont know about how your experience, but most people sound mentally disable or i was the crazy one!

the scariest one was when police came to our place and start grappling us from the neck like criminals, and they blind fold us and didnt know what was going on. previously, heard stories how liyu police take people in their trucks , kill them and throw them in the woods! that didnt help. hadde yan war kugu badanin, i start reading quran iyo shahada ka gafin onban ko fakarayey. likily weysan qabey. the whole ride i was thinking, alhamdullilah, ado weyso qabo bad malakul moot qabilido ta.lol

was scary but i was ready to die, wan ash'hatay .

Luggoy,

That is some scary shit, what I realized is, death/killing is normal to people back home, basically life means nothing, you could be killed for looking at someone the wrong way....very scary indeed.

Hyper, aniga xataa I always expected the worst to happen.

As for my experiences, there are way too many. One of the the worst was, my earliest days in garbaharey i slept alot, i kept passing out, like I was on drugs or something, due to fatigue and change of environment, so during one of those long naps, I wake up and realized an old man with broken teeth was sitting right at my feet watching me the whole time, with a creepy smile...ugh

Also one night I went to use the bath room, it was extremely dark, there was no lights, i was using a flush light, so while doing my thing, I noticed a huge cockroach crawling around, and I'm terrified of these things, so I panicked and dropped the flush light, and suddenly everything became dark and scary and I started to feel something touching my feet, well long story short, lets just say it didn't end well.

loooool nabeela, did you get use to african toilette? the most things i struggled were how to use hamamka, cleaning and food. no concept of cleaning or hygiene in general. i was extremely skinny to begin with but i got even skinnier. i got stomachache all the time and throwing up. once i almost got use to it and my body started getting its immune .... i had to leave.

sir, did you meet my cousin, the imam one? he is the only one as far i know stayed in the country. my eedos son?

Toilets back home are a complete excercise if u r doing number 2. Squatting for 5 -10 minutes is sheer punishment and then the bucket in taking shower.

Hyper,

No I haven't seen him, I guess he is in Mogadishu with yr uncle (the one from San Diego)
