Happiness without memory
If you could live 10 years of your life in total bliss - with NO pain - but in the end, not remember any of it - would you do it?
Re: Happiness without memory
I suppose. What matters is the experience, not whether you can remember it or not. The moment, not the past.

What if I already have? :O
Re: Happiness without memory
I suppose you would have holes in your memory though. Like you won't remember what happened between 1997-2007.Alphanumeric wrote:What if I already have? :O

Re: Happiness without memory
No. It's a must to remember at least some of the best moments you have been happy. 10 years of happiness and not remember a single moment just feels like you have been useless for all those years despite living in happiness.

I already have the worst memory.

Experiences only exist because we can recall them. Without any recollections of them they might well not exist or matter.

I was thinking the same. Besides, it would be scary not to be able to recall what took place in a period of 10yrs. I can't imagine life without memories, we would be living in a state of perpetual moments that are not imprinted in our minds.

Rubbish. The good said experiences do for us will be visible. From good deposition to good, healthy long life.ElfRuler0 wrote:Rockstar wrote:I suppose. What matters is the experience, not whether you can remember it or not. The moment, not the past.

If you wouldn't remember it then it will not happen.

Exactly, so why would I want to lose 10 years of my life?ElfRuler0 wrote:Rockstar wrote:I suppose. What matters is the experience, not whether you can remember it or not. The moment, not the past.

What is happiness without pain? How can you have lived something without remembering?

Re: Happiness without memory
It's like when gaalo people (haven't used this term in awhile lol) say they got smashed on the weekend and had so much fun but they don't remember anything apart from waking up in some park alone not knowing how they got there. It always use to trip me out, how did you know you had fun if you don't remember any of it ?
