You can actually lose your accent and adopt the host nations or blend accents without really even noticing. I've blended a few English accents so much it's really hard to pinpoint where I'm originally from now. Why try hard to keep an accent, mingle and meld. It's cool and at times a distinct accent might arouse female interest.
