Vintage clothing

Post by BlackVelvet »

She's so into it.

Would you buy it? We know it as huudey, growing up we were not allowed to share clothes. If you let someone borrow your clothes don't take it back from them and do not wear someone else's clothes (sisters excluded of course, that's what they're for  )

Is it arrogance? Logically you could wash it and have a unique item at a bargain price but just the idea of wearing something like that makes me feel very uncomfortable

I didn't like the look of any of those dresses. But assuming there was a very good looking item of clothing in a shop window display and it was to your taste and then you realise it's second hand or "vintage", would you buy it?

I don't mind vintage/pre-owned clothes, if it's stylish and in good condition.

Jas, yes I would buy if its like Zulaika said stylish and in good condition. But I meant in general most of these 'vintage' clothes are just ugly imo.

My mother is horrified that I shop at thrift stores. I bought a $200 jacket for $16, and instead of commending me she's like :damn: and gives me money to buy a "real one".

I love the vintage style (high waisted bottoms <3)! As for thrift store shopping if there isn't a need to there's no reason to do it. It's just a social no no, not really arrogance.
