Heavy Fighting Continues in Ogaden

Post by Faranacab »

Heavy fighting between ONLF forces and those of the Ethiopian regime forces and its associated Liyu Militia is currently taking place in the vicinity of Banbaas, Qolaji and Hora-hawd village, near Jigjiga. ONLF fighters from Gorgor (Eagle) Unit are engaging in severe fighting with Ethiopian troops for the 2nd straight day.

First reports provided by our frontline reporters indicate the operations undertaken by the Gorogor (Eagle) unit which operates in and around the area resulted the death of 45 Ethiopian soldiers including high ranking military officials and the capture of huge caches of military supplies. The supplies included small arms, machine guns, sophisticated military radios, and a large cache of more modern medicines.

It’s reported that ONLA (Ogaden National Army) fighters have captured the staging strategic position and an arms depository belonging to the Ethiopian forces unit operating near the road leading between Jigjiga and Harar.

Local people in Fiiq town confirmed that many Ethiopian dead and wounded have been brought to the city.

Although reliable eyewitnesses in the areas where the offensives took place confirmed seeing many Ethiopian taken prisoners by the ONLA(Ogaden National Army), the leaders of the ONLA refused to deny or confirm any such prisoner takings.

Latest reports from the Ogaden say that similar attacks by ONLF freedom fighters, which usually occur when Ethiopian soldiers venture into rural localities and villages to massacre civilians, are continuing.

Compare the faces of these brave young men to the ones of Siilaanyo, Faroole, Madoobe, and Cumar Geele paying tribute to their boss. One good thing for these humiliated governors is that these young warriors still represent the Somali name and identity

By the way, a close family member told me that Culusow was never invited so you know why he is not there. You think he has the balls to say no? I doubt.

Abdi Mohammed Omar has proved the region is progressing. This is the first time Somali region felt more confident and motivation than ever before in terms of self ruling, economy etc.

I know you are big time MUXAQIR

LJ,

The past is always a rebuke to the present. It's true Iley is doing much better than his predecessors like Abdinajid Hussein, Eid Dahir Kahin and the other loser Abdi Jibril who signed away his own district to Oromo. I wouldn't bother you with detail of their policy, what they represented and where they ended up, assuming you are well informed about the region.

On the other hand like you said, the current regional president Mujaahid.Iley is self confident and strong man who runs the show all by him self. He keeps in prison the one he wants, and releases the others. Moreover, he has managed to build few roads, an international airport, referral hospital, not to mention that he brought Silanyo on foot to witness statue of Sayidka.

This much alone is testament on how well he is doing to raise above his predecessors.

ONLF will never achieve their dream. They are a tribal movement, if they want freedom they should unite the Somalis in Somali Galbeed and fight under Somali National Front and not as Ogaden. Believe me

ONLF are freedom fighters. Ethiopia must leave Ogadenland, it does not belong to Xabashis

Keep killing Xabashis & Cagdheer(xabashi dogs) until they leave Ogadenland.

There are Ogadens= ONLf and their supporters
There are Cagdheers= Ileey's group
