I took this picture in Amsterdam. Amsterdam is a nice place but very different. Culture shock

In Amsterdam, for every sidewalk there is a red pavement in the middle. That red pavement is for cyclists and scooters. I thought they were supposed to be on the road with the cars but no. Biycles and scooters have more right to the sidewalk than walking pedestrians. I was only in Amsterdam for 1 week but got ran over by at least 3 bikes and was almost killed by speeding scooters.

So when you visit Amsterdam, stay on the grey pavement. Don't go on the red pavement or you might be killed by speeding scooters
