How's everyone doing Somneters? May Allah (swt) give us all his blessings and Imaan in this brand new year.

I think i have seen it, I just sat through a Skype Meher where I was one of the witnesses and it was quite something else. I think the only thing left for me to do now is become a grandparent.

Has anyone else sat through of these?

Skype Maher? As much of a proponent I am of technology and how it can impact lives this is probably a big much. Was there just no way possible for the bride/groom to come to each other?

that is not too bad. i did nikahs that both groom and bride not in present and wali for the pride and power of attorney for groom was there. i took their word for it that bride was accepted. i wished if i could see them life on skype.

Skype Meher? Why couldn't the wali of the girl and the sheikh be at the same place? What was skype for? Usually when the bride and groom are not together, meher takes place when the sheikh and the bride's wali can be together just like hyper said.

You just reminded me of a message that's been circulating around the internet about long distance relationships and technologies. I can't remember what exactly the message was, but it was something along the lines whereby the relationship starts from a social site and finally they wed through skype or something like that
