Edna adan Dakhtar is one of the hard working peoples god bless her for her works in Somaliland in the health sector , and one of the most patriotic Somaliland advocators and our Former Foreign Minister, and she is not all talk she really contributes to Somaliland. I love it how she explains the Somaliland cause with full dedication she experienced allot in her life, she lived under Colonial Britain in Somaliland, she experienced the cancerous union with Somalia , and when independence was achieved she really contributed to Somaliland on all fronts in health in diplomacy, Somalilanders will always honer you Edna and keep up the good work.

Top lady that deserves all the credit she gets, but I once watched a youtube video of her opinion on Somalia and let's just say I was truly disgusted . Can't be bothered to dig the video but it was an eye opener

She's a cool old lady, although I don't share her views in regards to a lot of things.

what dishusted you ? that she is a proud somalilander, or that she is not a dirty woqoyi prostitute?
in that case you should get used to disgust. you should note that she is from the older generation that still respect somalia.
the 40% of your population that are under 30, consider you to be scum.

Gurey- If i remember correctly , she insulted Somalis name in front of some random whites ( was they turkish or Belguim i don't remember). I am sure those whites didn't even know what she was talking about. She could have praises Somaliland without putting other Somalis down.

As for you what you feel about your fellow Somalis- that's your personal choice. I know plenty of Isaaqs to know most of them put brave face when confronting other Somalis but when they get together its " shit this thing is not working" and that sinking feeling that comes with it

not diplomatic but i understand where she comes from.
we are put down every day when we are associated with you.
If we can get used to the daily humiliation, you can too when your faults are pointed out.

I belong to the older generation that has brotherly feeling for all somalis and i am in my own way still a somaliweynist.
those " plenty" of isaaq you talk about are just naive kids living in the west, those in somaliland dont know much about recognition or care that much about it,
they just know that they will be ruled from xamar over their dead bodies.
I try my best to wean them off this extremist thinking whenever i get the chance, but its a hard job.
inshallah i will succeed in slipping into their minds my more plausible somaliweynist sympathies.

The first moment i saw the program i though to myself she will throw some xaar comments on secession begging the interviewer to recognize her clan. So i switched to other channels.

i saw that video. Shes a vile women who prostitutes the Somali name daily for 'Somaliland' nationhood. This is the truth and this is what she'll be remembered for. But hey i'll be a bitter person if for 25 years i've been dreaming with nothing to show   :sland:

However i commend her in empowering young Somalis in taking up much needed careers such as those in the health services.
