What people don't realise is that Amisom and the arms embargo go hand in hand.
There cannot be one without the other......so you can forget about a strong and effective SNA.

As long as Somali's are distrustful and divided, there will be no progress towards full sovereignty.

i hope the embargo is fully lifted so my country somaliland can effectively defend its independece/sovereignty and territorial integrity by protecting our borders (same as our predecessor entity british somaliland) and retaking the missing 5% of our national territory by harti terrorists

Not donations. Govt has bought new weapons from abroad, the country they made with the weapon transactions is confidential though.

I know in the partial lift it said that they wont receive helicopters/fighter jets heavy weapons like artillery tanks but if you mean small arms then even with the arms embargo they had no problem in acquiring it .

What i want to know is that -the Djiboutian donation have they bought military vehicles like the South African Casspir which Amisom uses

Its all about " surface-to-air missiles". It doesn't include small tanks, heavy guns, jip and so this was stated by the war minister.

Helicopters are not heavy weapons, they are for transportation and security this is not my opinion though I was told this by a security officer. Wait the proof as soon the somali president will receive two helicopters from the UAE.
