Re: Somalia's Uranium and Yttrium
Somalis should accept Foreign direct investment however shouldn't be violated to the extent as done in SA and Congo etc etc.
We need foreign expertise to create wealth in our society.
Somalia is open for shop..Globalization isn't so bad however i don't mean the type undertaken by the Neo-liberal machine.

Globalization in moderation is good, China, South Korea, Taiwan, SA and even kenya welcomes it and in the east Asian examples these countries are growing exponentially.
Even IBM and Intel is setting up shop in Kenya
Somalis lack skills and liquid, FDI is a good thing. But i guess our leaders are not mature enough for that, sell it for themselves.

You need stability first and rule of law.

Re: Somalia's Uranium and Yttrium
Somalis a few decades ago were the largest exporter of Bananas in the world and was on the road to refining oil etc etc !
When someone mentions the past government you people need to put your emotions in the back seat and accept the facts.
I'm just stating what Somalis should do, think of this as a think tank. I'm quite well aware Somalia today can't implement it however we need to plan for the future.
There is an element of wishful thinking i'm aware off too.........but thats life.
